Abu has vast knowledge of various core handling and laboratory routine core analysis techniques. Prior to joining Gabas Omni Petroleum Services in March 2006, Abu worked for Core Laboratories between 1995-2006 in Nigeria as a Core Analyst mainly responsible for laboratory measurements of routine rock petrophysical properties. Between 1993-1995, Abu worked as a Quality Control Officer in a State Owned Cement Factory. Prior to this, he thought Chemistry in a State Owned Secondary School.
Abu is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (affiliate of AAPG).
